Things that can go wrong with your computer

Anything can go wrong with a computer, but let''s focus on the most common problems.

There are hardware issues: your ID cable may be frayed, you may have dust inside your tower, your monitor could be frying or degaussing too much, the wireless network and modem and router are not cooperating, and your video card may be dying.

Then there are the software issues: you may have loaded or downloaded so many photos, music files, videos and other electronic lint that the cache is clogged. Or perhaps you need to reinstall Win XP or another OS. You might even have old programs installed from years ago that you forgot were there. Time to clean out the registry!
