
One Day An Error Happened
One day while sitting at my desk working on a shipment for a valued customer an error happened causing my computer to lose access to the entire tracking system. After reading through the detailed message that appeared, I decided it would be best to try restarting the tracking system. Unfortunately, that did not solve the problem. I then had to advise my customer it would be a few minutes before I would have an answer for him. I went to our server room, and checked our main server screen for issues. I noticed that there was no power to the server. I located the reset button on the system and restarted the server. After all systems checked out, I went back to my customer and continued to research the shipment in question, saving our company hundreds of dollars by fixing the issue myself rather than having a tech rep come out to our facility.
