Computer Errors a Fact of Life?

I hate computer issues. There is nothing in the world like putting together a great presentation, project, or paper, and when you try to pull it up again, it has vanished! It happened frequently when I was in college--I would be 3/4 of the way through the best paper I had ever written, invested countless hours into my work, only to save it to a disk, and when I go to pull it off the disk to complete my task or print out the paper, it is gone. I think in the past few years, computers have become somewhat more reliable. There is a huge network where work can be saved instead of only on a disk. However, I think computer errors and issues have always been, and always will be, a fact of life!
